Social anxiety, public speaking & panic — therapy in London

If your stomach drops when a meeting invite arrives, you rehearse phone calls before making them, or the thought of public speaking is genuinely terrifying — you're not "just shy". Tapping therapy works directly on the anxiety response, often clearing it inside a handful of sessions.

What we work with

How TFT calms anxiety

Anxiety is a body event. Your sympathetic nervous system activates a fight-or-flight response in a situation that is not actually dangerous, and the conscious mind can't talk it down because the conscious mind isn't where it lives. TFT goes around the conscious mind and works directly on the regulation:

  1. Tune in to the trigger. Imagining the next presentation, lift, social event, or trigger.
  2. Tap an anxiety algorithm. Specific points calm the autonomic response in real time.
  3. Re-test. The same imagined situation no longer activates the same body reaction.
  4. Generalise. Once the underlying anxiety pattern is cleared, multiple related triggers usually settle together.

What you can expect

The first session always feels different to clients. Tracey will ask you to imagine the trigger and rate the felt anxiety on a 0–10 scale before tapping. After tapping, you rate it again. The number drops — often dramatically — in real time. That's not placebo: it's reproducible, and it's what gives clients the felt confidence that the change is real.

Specific phobias and one-off performance fears typically clear in 1–3 sessions. Generalised social anxiety usually takes 4–8.

The first call is the hardest

Calling a therapist with social anxiety is its own anxiety event — Tracey gets it. The 15-minute consultation is unhurried, no script, no commitment. If phone is too much right now, email is fine.

Common questions

What is social anxiety disorder?

Intense fear of being judged or scrutinised in social or performance situations, going beyond ordinary shyness because it interferes with daily life.

Can tapping therapy cure public-speaking phobia?

It can dramatically reduce or eliminate it. Public speaking is one of the most reliable wins for TFT.

How quickly can I expect change?

Most clients notice a clear shift inside the first session. Specific phobias and performance fear often resolve in 1–3 sessions.

Will the anxiety come back?

Once cleared, it generally stays cleared — provided the same triggering pattern doesn't get re-installed by repeated trauma. Tracey teaches you self-tapping so you have tools if anything resurfaces.
