Methods used
Tracey integrates three evidence-informed methods. Most clients benefit from all three blended into a single course of treatment, weighted to whatever your situation needs.
1. Thought Field Therapy (TFT)
Thought Field Therapy is the cornerstone. It uses focused tapping on acupressure points to clear emotional charge from specific memories or triggers — typically in minutes rather than months. It's the fastest and most reliable component for trauma, phobias, anxiety and craving.
Developed by US clinical psychologist Dr Roger Callahan in the early 1980s and now backed by published research including studies on military veterans and disaster survivors.
2. Clinical hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is structured communication with the unconscious mind in a focused, relaxed state. It excels at:
- Embedding the changes TFT has made, so they generalise across situations
- Resourcing — building confidence, calm, focus and motivation
- Habit work where TFT alone hasn't fully landed (e.g. some weight and food issues)
- Pain management with an emotional component
Tracey trained with Paul McKenna, one of the UK's most recognised clinical hypnotherapists.
3. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP is a set of practical models for how thinking patterns produce behaviour and emotion. It gives us tools for:
- Mapping the structure of a problem precisely (so we work on the right thing)
- Future-pacing — rehearsing the new response in the situations where you used to struggle
- Reframing limiting beliefs and identity statements
- Anchoring useful states so you can access them when you need them
Tracey trained directly with Dr Richard Bandler, the co-creator of NLP.
How they fit together
A typical session might use NLP to map the issue precisely, TFT to clear the emotional charge, and a brief hypnotic process at the end to lock the change in. The client experience is one continuous conversation — there's no "now we're switching to method X" — but the underlying toolkit is genuinely integrated.
