Stop smoking in London — single-session tapping therapy
Become a non-smoker in one extended session, without willpower battles, patches or vapes. The TFT stop-smoking programme works on cravings at the body level — and on the anxiety the cigarettes have been muting.
The single-session programme: 90-minute appointment + telephone follow-up. £180. Free 15-minute consultation first to check it's the right fit.
Why willpower keeps failing
Smoking is rarely about nicotine alone. It's about the loop: stress builds → cigarette → temporary relief → stress builds again → cigarette → and so on. Patches and vapes give you a clean nicotine source but they don't break the loop. When you try to quit on willpower, you're consciously fighting an unconscious process — and conscious willpower runs out before unconscious habit does.
TFT breaks the loop by working on the unconscious side directly. We turn down the craving response, and we work on the anxiety the cigarettes have been muting, so the loop has nothing to lock into.
What happens in the session
- The smoking history. When you started, why, how it served you, what's changed.
- Underlying drivers. Stress, social cues, after-meals, boredom — the specific patterns that drive your smoking.
- Tap on cravings. Specific TFT algorithms drop the felt urge to smoke. We test it in real time.
- Tap on the drivers. Anxiety, anger, social discomfort — whatever the cigarettes have been managing.
- Future-pace. We rehearse the typical situations where you used to smoke, with the new response in place.
- Self-tapping toolkit. You leave with a sequence to handle any residual craving in the first week.
What about weight gain, irritability, withdrawal?
Most clients report none of the typical withdrawal misery. The cravings simply aren't there in the way they expected. Some weight gain can occur if the smoking-loop is replaced with a snacking-loop — we address that in the session by also tapping on the underlying anxiety driver, so there's nothing to fill with food.
What it costs — and what it saves
The programme is £180. A 20-a-day smoker spends roughly £5,000 a year on cigarettes in the UK in 2026. The maths is short.

Common questions
How does tapping therapy help you stop smoking?
It directly reduces the body's craving response and the anxiety smoking has been muting. Most clients leave the first session with no urge to smoke.
How long does the programme take?
One 90-minute session plus a telephone follow-up a week later.
What's the cost?
£180 for the full programme.
What if I've tried before and failed?
Failed quits don't predict future quits — they tell us the previous method didn't fit you. TFT works on the body-level craving and emotional drivers other methods leave alone.
What about vapes?
The same programme works for vape dependence — it's the same loop with a different delivery device.
